Here we will include details of any resources which we feel parents may wish to buy or make at home with their children. We make many of our resources at Little Stars to keep costs down and we are happy to share these money saving ideas with you. Don’t forget to visit our boards on Pinterest for more ideas.

  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 1 cup of salt
  • 2 cups of boilig water
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 4 teaspoons of cream of tartar
  • Food colouring

Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil in a bowl. Add the food colouring to the boiling water and add to the mixture. Stir until it all starts to come together and then turn out onto a board and knead until it has come together in to one ball. Place in an airtight container.

You can add glitter, essences to make it smell different or there are many other suggestions on pinterest to enhance it. Its much cheaper than the real thing, totally harmless if eaten and stays softer for longer.

Add the same quantity of soap flakes to water to a large bowl and add water until it becomes thick.

  • 1 cup of cornflour
  • 1 cup of water
  • Food colouring

Add together in a bowl and mix. The mixture will appear runny and will drip though your fingers but is hard when pressed.

The pizzas that we make are usually a wrap which we get the children to spread tomato puree on. They can then chop and add whatever ingredients they want, add some cheese and pop them i the oven.
