Pre School

Our pre school is OFSTED registered and we were graded as ‘Good’ in our last inspection.

Our sessions are fun and educational and we aim to support children in developing the skills they need to make the most of their early years education and to prepare them for nursery or school.

Sessions are semi structured with children involved in short group sessions at the beginning and end of each session. These group activities are linked to the Early Years Foundation Curriculum. We treat all children as individuals and our activities are planned to reflect the interests and needs of the children in our groups and to ensure that the children are making the best progress possible across all areas of the curriculum.

We have a large outdoor area which is currently being updated to make it more suitable for our needs.  We use this area every day to enhance our provision and offer a broader range of activities for our children.

To see some of the exciting things we do why not have a look through our gallery.

A copy of our OFSTED report can be viewed here.

The sessions run TERM TIME only at the following times from Willington Children’s Centre:

Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm.

Sessions can be half days 9am – 12 midday or 12 midday – 3pm or full days 9am-3pm

Those children staying all day must provide there own packed lunch.

These sessions must be pre booked.

If you would like to pop in and see us please get in touch to arrange an appointment.

We are happy to offer places to children with additional needs. Details of our provision is included in County Durham’s Local Offer for children with special needs and disabilities (SEND). Details can be found at: www.countydurhamfamilies.info

As we are OFSTED registered you may be able to claim so of your childcare costs through your tax credits. Many children access the setting on a funded place in which case there is no fee for the session. More information about free provision can be found here.
